While the focus has been on the fight between Israeli military and Palestinian fighters, which is now a live-streamed genocide. The war has four fronts: Gaza, The West Bank, Southern Lebanon, and Damascus, Syria. Highlighting all of these fronts at the same time, would show how expansive and potentially dangerous this war is for the entire region and beyond.

Nothing Quiet on the Eastern Fronts

Majdal Zoun was one of several towns and villages in southwestern Lebanon hit by Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling. Others included Shehin, the outskirts of Alma Al-Shaab, Al-Dhahira, Al-Jabeen and Tayr Harfa. The most recent targets included Hula, Blida, Aita, Kafr Kila, and Khiam. Earlier, artillery fire that hit Ramia, Al-Naqoura and Alma Al-Shaab on Tuesday night caused extensive damage to crops, olive groves and buildings.-reported MTV News in Lebanon

Southern Lebanon has faced daily bombardments from Israel; these have killed “Dozens Lebanese of civilians including Khadijah Mohamed Salman and her five-year old daughter, Amal Hassan al-Durr, on February 21, and the attacks have displaced over 30,000 people, according to reports on the English language Lebanese news website, mtv.com. They also reported the Israeli attacks have destroyed 10,000 olive trees.

These attacks have been going on since October 8th, after Hamas’ October 7th, 2023 retaliation attack for the continued aggression by Israeli government and settlers on worshipers at Masjid Al Aqsa. Since then, Israel has taken Hamas attack as an excuse to demolish almost all of the Gaza Strip and annihilate its people killing 30,000 and counting, and rending limbless, blind, and wounded mostly women, children, and elderly. This lopsided and senseless war, is reaching nearly 100,0000 wounded and permanently injured causalities.

The Key Hole

The keyholing of this war, forcing us to focus on one side, albeit the most horrific, in Southern Gaza is a distraction. By this I mean, just looking at one aspect of it. Like the focus on Khan Younis but not the North of Gaza or the West Bank in fact, anywhere that there is a single Palestinian family is nearly under attack. Why? Because, unlike Israel, according to the present state of the world community and its legal authorities, they do not have the right to exist. Why else would these international rights organizations which are supposed to have legal and moral authority, sit and do nothing? It’s that complicated. Really. But they distract you with just looking at one small point when in fact the war on Gaza is an international one, with multiple fronts.

Northern Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, and the Red Sea are also fronts of this maniacal bloodletting. I would love to be neutral, but there are no neutral sides to this war, when one side has several nations aiding and abetting a genocide, on the other side, millions of everyday people risk limb and livelihood to end this gross, inhumane, injustice committed under the guise of ‘self-defense’.

Lebanon and Syria: Mum’s Not the Word

So, why hasn’t Lebanon and Syria been more vocal about their being under Israeli attacks? In Lebanon, there is Hezbollah, which has been giving Israel a run for its money with counter attacks, so, going to the International Court of Justice, might put them in trouble as well. The same may be the case with Syria, which is still fighting a low-key war within its borders.

Yet, this should not matter, Israel should not be able to get away with randomly attacking other sovereign nations. I get it, they have enough troubles. Bad economies, war recovery, chaos and instability. They are just tired. Still, they should speak up as a means of self-defense. At this point it can’t get any worse.

Gaza and Israel, this has been the focus of all of the coverage on the genocide of the Palestinian people and rightly so, however, the case against Israel would be much stronger if the Syria and Lebanon added their testimonies to the case against Israel since each is a front on Israel’s greater war for land and their menacing the entire region in their pursuit of ‘defending themselves,’ which really means creating constant chaos in the Middle East. This may be its real function.

And just like in the United States where the claim to self-defense applies in some states, but not in others, this too, is the case of that of Hamas vs Israel where, Israelis, settlers-invaders, military, and even little kids, can spit on, harass, shoot, burn, and starve with impunity, and are rewarded with aid, that they don’t need, since they have a world-wide network of diaspora Jews who by October 14, 2023 raised over $200 million and have since raised $1 billion for Israel’s government. Yet, The Five Eyes and some members of the EU still act as if the occupying, colonial project called Israel is a defenseless, orphan state. It is not nor, has it ever been. However, the hundred-year history of this is too long for this short piece.

Mo’ War Mo’ Money

I am going to say it since no one else will. If the ICJ and the rest of the world minus the US, puts a judgement against Israel, then, the US with its penchant for forever wars, along with countries like France who are heavily in Africa running amok, might just have to cease fire also.

And here’s the thing, which I will write about more later.

They money the US gives Israel is more or less like a coupon by which it cashes some of it in to buy US air weaponry and ballistics. Which as we have seen can wipe out an entire city in a matter of minutes. This also serves and advertising for would be buyers, thinking to either wage their own wars or have some of these killer goodies on standby as a deterrent in case some other enemies start to get too big for their britches.

This also shows other developing nations with lesser military capabilities that the United States military knows it’s stuff and so, this creates an opportunity for the US to conduct military training sessions, for a fee of course, which may be paid in a variety of ways. From access to land and resources to DNA and guinea pigs for new drug experiments. This comes after the discovery that some African DNA gene-pool is so diverse that it can serve as a template for others such as European and Asia. They have the keys to unlocking cures for hundreds of diseases.

Yeah, it’s all about the Benjamins. But I digress. Sort of.

Genocide? What Genocide?

Ahhh, how I miss the days before wokeness. That was when everything was crystal clear. Not like now, where people spin words faster than a revolving door on Black Friday. Today, there is this ridiculous debate as to where what is happening in Palestine is a genocide, even with live streaming videos. When parents carrying the shattered parts of their children in plastic bags, sorry, but even the holocaust in Germany was not this bad. The footage of Hitler’s evils mostly came after the fact; it was not live steamed for all of the world to see. And you know what? Just because it happened to Jews, it does not it does not give them the right or carte blanche to do it to the Palestinians. Because if it does, then, when will it stop?

I am so fed up with this UN, ICJ and the most of all, my country, the United States of America which vetoes every ceasefire like there’s no tomorrow. Whither the democracy and values we love to sing about? This fiasco with Israel has been our Wizard of Oz moment, where the world sees, that it was all just a show and a fake. There is no democracy, freedom, and life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, there are just words meant for White, rich, men their allies, and some Jews, who made a covenant with George Washington before his inauguration as president. Yes, it started way back then.

So, the fact that Palestinians are dying even if it was just one, should have been the rallying cry to end all aggressions, but it is not. Yes, Israelis have died, but they hit first, now weren’t they? They have no right to get mad, when someone hits back. So, now they find themselves in a multi-front war, and until the media starts reporting it as such, this focus on killing Palestinians will, sadly seem inconsequential. It is time for the leadership of Lebanon and Syria to send their representatives everywhere there is a mic plugged in and tell what is happening in their countries too. Then perhaps this war can end once and for all.
